THE FOUNDATION FOR YOUNG AUSTRALIANS
The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) was formed on 1 June 2000 when The Australian Youth Foundation and The Queen’s Trust for Young Australians merged. The Foundation is committed to assisting young Australians aged up to 30 years to reach their full potential,and will spend in excess of $3 million each year on providing opportunities for young people.
Over 50% of funds will be spent on projects and programs to assist disadvantaged young people, and 50% will be dedicated to developing leadership potential and promoting the pursuit of excellence. Twenty per cent of all The Foundation’s funding is dedicated to programs to assist indigenous young people.
DR COLIN SHARP
Dr Colin Sharp is Associate Professor of Management at the Flinders Institute of Public Policy and Management. http://www.ssn.flinders.edu.au/fippm/
He has over 14 years’ experience in consulting to human services management and Boards of Directors on staff development, organisational change, research, evaluation and quality assurance. He has previously provided advice on management, performance measurement,or evaluation practice for a range of public, private and community organisations, including the Department of Family and Community Service (SA), Commonwealth and State Health Minister’s Advisory Committee (Multi-Purpose Services pilot projects), Commonwealth Department of Finance, Spastic Society (Victoria) and Roads and Traffic Authority of Victoria.
Dr Sharp is a registered psychologist in South Australian. He has a PhD (Clinical Neuropsychology)from the University of Melbourne.
