A startup from IIT-Delhi has developed Do-IT-Yourself (DIY) educational kits for students to learn the basics of artificial intelligence (AI). The kit includes many new technical features such as an AI compute engine, user-friendly AI training or inference applications, and real-world AI actuation circuit boards.
According to officials at IIT-Delhi, when taught in a conventional manner, the field of AI requires a student to have rigorous education and training in areas such as advanced mathematics, data science. and computer programming.
BUDDHI Kit is the first of its kind highly interactive and easy to use DIY educational kit
“Like any evolving technology, there is a gap between the promise, the hype, the capability and the practical reality of AI. What makes this gap important is the lack of resources to easily develop an intuitive insight. on topics like early stage AI The motivation behind the BUDDHI kit is to help young schoolchildren learn the practical aspects of a complex topic like AI in a friendly and easy way, ”said Manan Suri , professor at IIT-Delhi.
The BUDDHI (Build Understanding Design Deploy Human-like Intelligence) Kit is the first highly interactive and easy-to-use DIY educational kit that can be used to quickly learn AI basics and create AI-based solutions for true. -Global problems without any prior knowledge or training in the field, ”he added.
The components of the kit have been designed with compatibility with traditional electromechanical devices in mind. The kit comes with a rich learning ecosystem that includes a high-quality AI manual, hands-on DIY AI projects, lessons, exercises, presentations and videos, Suri said.
The product developed by “CYRAN AI Solutions” was launched on Monday by IIT-Delhi Director V Ramgopal Rao.
“IIT-Delhi has a central place in AI-related research and development in the country. The development of native AI hardware and software is essential, ”said Rao.
